Criminology and Law Studies, Minor

Criminology is the scientific study of the nature, extent, causes, control and prevention of criminal behavior in both the individual and in society. Law Studies is the study of meanings, values, practices and institutions of law and legality and examines how law shapes and is shaped by political, economic and cultural forces. Criminology and Law Studies is an interdisciplinary field in the behavioral sciences, drawing from a wide range of disciplines including economics, history, law, psychiatry, psychology, political science and sociology. 

Note:

  • CRLS 3986 and CRLS 4986 Advanced Internship and Seminar in Criminology and Law Studies may not be counted toward the minor in Criminology and Law Studies.
