The minor in Mental Health Applications provides foundational background in psychological strategies useful in both health-related fields and education. This minor includes a subset of courses that are selected because they would be useful for graduates whose careers intersect substantially with mental health issues. In particular, the minor would be relevant for anyone entering a health-related field (such as medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or nursing). It would also be highly relevant to teachers. If students minor in Mental Health Applications they may not also major or minor in Psychology.
