Undergraduate students who wish to audit courses without earning credit must present evidence of their preparation for the course or courses in which they wish to enroll. Auditors are required to attend all classes but are not required to complete written course assignments or examinations. Certain courses may not be audited, such as Marquette Core Curriculum and courses in the major. Students should consult with their college to determine other courses that cannot be audited.

Students must first register for the course via CheckMarq, then request the audit option from their college office with the Audit Request form located on the Marquette Central academic forms website. Auditing a class must be approved by the college. The deadline to request the audit option for each session is the deadline to Add/Drop for classes, as listed on the Academic Calendar.
