GRAD 6933  Exchange/University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee  (1-5 credits)  
In conjunction with the exchange program established between Marquette University and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, students may enroll in a graduate-level course at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee while enrolled in the master's or doctoral program at Marquette. The UWM course title and credits are identified by this GRAD exchange course. A maximum of six credits of GRAD exchange courses may be included in the required minimum course work for the student's program of study at Marquette. The timing of the course is such that it extends beyond the Marquette term; students receive an IC grade initially. The IC will be changed to an A-F grade at the end of the course.

The Notre Dame course title and credits are identified by this GRAD exchange course. A maximum of two of these GRAD exchange courses may be included in the required minimum course work for the student's program of study at Marquette. This course extends beyond the Marquette term; students receive an IC grade initially. The IC will be changed to an A-F grade at the end of the course.

GRAD 8099  Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Skills  (0 credits)  
Provides students with foundational understandings of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) along with practical tools to engage across difference. Discusses how, in today’s interconnected world, understanding DEI is essential for professional growth, effective communication, fostering inclusive communities and reimagining our physical and social realities for greater accessibility. Designed to equip students with knowledge, skills and perspectives necessary to examine how they might engage in more equitable and inclusive practices in their future careers.
Prerequisite: Enrolled in a Ph.D. program.

Provides an experiential and interactive curriculum toward scientific communication training for all audience levels. Using high energy demonstrative and improvisational exercises, students will gain important and useful skills to engage their audiences and communicate their complex science more clearly and effectively.
