Orientation of the student to the pediatric clinic. Students are introduced to operations and procedures regarding the clinical management and treatment of the child patient. S/U grade assessment.

Stresses the complexities of comprehensive orthodontic treatment. Emphasizes road-based considerations in the diagnosis, treatment planning and provision of competent orthodontic care for resolving complex malocclusions. Focuses on the interaction between generalist and orthodontic specialist.

Provides the dental student's first experience in the clinical management and treatment of the child patient. Includes experiences in minor tooth movement. S/U grade assessment.

Provides continuing experience in the clinical management and treatment of the child patient. Includes experiences in minor tooth movement. Students may be assigned more complicated cases as their progress warrants. S/U grade assessment.

Provides advanced experience in the clinical management and treatment of the child patient. Includes caries management, sealant placement and application of fluorides.
