Lemonis Center for Student Success
The Lemonis Center for Student Success (LCSS) serves as a central hub for academic and non-academic resources. It also facilitates access to a campuswide network of support for students of all backgrounds and majors from first day to first destination. The Lemonis Center embraces a holistic approach to student success and coordinates with colleges, offices and the Division of Student Affairs to ensure students receive the individualized support needed to thrive at Marquette.
Central to the Lemonis Center is the Ask Me Desk, which provides a single point of contact for students who have questions or who seek assistance, whether they prefer in-person, email, phone, or virtual interactions. An important goal for the LCSS is to normalize asking for help early on and to offer a caring space for students who seek that support, especially when they do not know where to start or who to ask. Moreover, by housing the Academic Resource Center (ARC) and the Career Center, the Lemonis Center further streamlines access to essential services such as academic coaching, tutoring, guidance choosing a major, exploring career paths and engaging in career-related experiences. In addition to increasing awareness and access to resources, the LCSS is committed to fostering a culture of mentorship, engagement and belonging. Through collaborations with partners across campus, the LCSS offers enriching opportunities and programming to cultivate meaningful connections among students, faculty, staff and alumni. The collaborative spaces within the LCSS, such as open study areas as well as technology-enhanced reservable rooms, make this a convening space for learning, socialization, collaboration and innovation.
