Environmental Engineering, BCE

Civil Engineering students with a major in Environmental Engineering are trained to eventually become licensed, practicing civil engineers in the environmental engineering field. Environmental Engineers design, build, manage and plan infrastructure including systems to provide clean drinking water, wastewater management and treatment, hazardous and solid waste remediation, storm water management, and protection of lakes, rivers and streams. Marquette Civil Engineering students with a major in Environmental Engineering typically go on to work for consulting engineering firms, municipalities and other government organizations, regulatory agencies and industries. Civil Engineering students with a major in Environmental Engineering also may go on to graduate school or to work for research and educational institutions.
